Settings


SplashBI depends on certain global level settings in the application which are recommended to set after installation. Default values are provided for some global settings where client DBA can still change based on the users requirement.


Below are the settings that need to be configured:


  • Temporary Path: This is the mandatory setting for SplashBI where it uses this path for all temporary file storages and retrievals.


  • Max Connection Processes Allowed:This setting will restrict the number of processes a connection can  have executing at a point of time. If 10 reports are executing for a connection, and if this setting is configured as 5 then only 5 reports will be under processing and rest of them are queued.


  • Default Value: No default value is provided that means there is no restriction for number of processes executing against a connection.


  • No Of Concurrent Processes: This setting will allow user to set number of concurrent processes to execute in the system irrespective of connection.


  • Default Value: No default value is provided that means there is no restriction for number of concurrent processes executing in the system.


  • No. Of Password Attempts:This setting will not allow user to try user name and password combination from the login page if the tries exceeds the value mentioned in this setting.


  • Default Value: 10.


SplashBI has email feature with and without attachments. Client DBA can decide on this option and provide their company specific JNDI Mail .Server URL or SMTP details can be provided.


  • Default Value: No default values are provided for below.


  • MaxRows For PDF: Number of rows can be mentioned here for PDF output to honor and if it exceeds then PDF output will not open.
  • Default Value: 50000.


  • Auto DrilldownCount: When dashboard level chart is drilldown for tabular data, based on this setting value, it is restricted to open the output if the record count of auto drilldown exceeds this values.


  • Default Value: 100000.
