Global Settings


If Global Settings are applied to the application, the settings are applied irrespective of any user or user group.


Global settings are maintained by the administrator role in SplashBI and is geared more for technical settings setup providing users the ability to perform
some of the functions, e.g. distribution.


All Settings is a read only mode window and summarizes the setups created in SplashBI geared more for the company and the use of the tool.


  • Setting options includes System Settings, Mail Settings, Default Local Settings, Password Policy Settings and Active Directory Settings.
  • Setting options can be modified in the Global Settings area. This function makes it easier for the administrator to set up the same information for each user that pertains to the company and has an added advantage in saving time.


System Settings


System settings in SplashBI are pieces of information that are stored and used to configure the application. For more information, see System Settings.


Mail Settings


Mail settings in SplashBI is available for users to set up company mail server connections for sharing of reports, dashboards and charts. For more information, see Mail Settings.


Default Local Settings


Default local settings in SplashBI is for certain values that are stored with a preset value and can be changed at anytime by the administrator. Local settings are specific to a single instance. For more information, see Default Local Settings.


Password Policy and Expire Settings


A  password policy  is a set of rules designed to enhance security by encouraging users to employ strong password and use them properly. For more information, see Password Policy and Expire Settings.


Active Directory Settings
